My Valedictory Address, Christian Colleges of Southeast Asia S.Y. 2011-12 By: Rage Jairus V. Perez (Grade 6 Valedictorian)

The very kind and generous President of CCSA, Engr. Michael T. Ang Sr., the very dynamic Board of Trustees, our competent EVP Engr. Carlos T. Ang, a woman who has the passion for excellence, our ever dearest SBE Director, Dr. Rosita V. Fundador, the very supportive school principals from the two departments, the efficient faculty and staff, personnel from the College Dept., loving parents, fellow graduates, visitors and friends, ladies and gentlemen, a pleasant and wonderful morning to everyone.
According to William Arthur Ward, “Success, like happiness, is more than a destination-it is a venture; more than an achievement it is an attitude.” Indeed it is.
Our graduation today is our contribution to the future- from the seeds we are now, will spring bright citizens of our country that will help sustain and make the difference. We will be taking different highways form this little road and we will reach distant shores as we leave this harbor of our elementary school as proud graduates ready to help build the future for the generations to come.
After 6 years of pain and hardships, of laughter and sadness , of action and drama, of passing and failing in exams, accepting and rejecting our projects, at least I could say….We all survive.
Our stay here in CCSA, our Alma Mater, we begin to change, we begin to explore things in our own ways. Even sometimes we didn’t fully understand the ways of living right now, because of life that is full of challenges. We have still the hope and trust in our God, the Almighty, and the one who takes care of us as we go along to our ones venture keeping the faith in Him and doing our part. And right at this very moment, I feel so blessed and have the joy in my heart, that on behalf of my fellow graduates, we want to thank all the people that have been part of our journey, in times of success and failures.
To our dear president and school administrators, we will keep writing in the tombs of our hearts the ideals and values we learned during our stay in this institution. We thank you for the provision of excellent facilities to enhance our studies to be knowledgeable enough in different areas of growth and development.
For our Teachers, this is not goodbye, this is just asking your permission, and for your blessings as we take off – please pray us well.
For our parents and family, we offer to you our first accomplishment of the many triumphs and honors we will bring home from now.
For my dear graduates, I challenge all of you? We should never give up. We must be strong enough to face all the difficulties that lie ahead of us. We must persevere and pursue our dreams. We must never fail. Because our future is in our hands, in our minds and in our hearts. Despite all odds and hardship in life, despite the problems that crossed our path, despite the intricacies that befell us, we should stand still and continue the fight. Let us open our minds and our hearts for growth. Because the future promises unlimited possibilities that are in our hands for us to seize and to hold. Fellow graduates, some of us will stay behind, some of us will go afar. But never to forget us all. Never to forget each one of us. Never to forget the people around us and forever we will never be apart.
Most of all, let us thank God for this very moment. Let us thank Him for all the people, the extension of His love, and His angels that He sent to make sure all that we have now and our future will happen. And I believe and trust in this verse taken from Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart: And lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths.”
And as we reach our destinations please let us not forget to look back and send signals to our dear school, that we have reached our destinations and that we have arrived in the destination where God wants us to be.

Thank You Very Much and To God be the Glory!
